Let us be content

Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

~ Phillipians 4:11-13, ESV ~

When we step out of our own self-centeredness and seek our Heavenly Father, we are sustained in all things. Spiritual growth and maturation includes our ability to learn to be content in all things. Whether we are experiencing seasons of plenty or seasons of famine – our reliance and sustenance comes from God. He sustains us and strengthens us daily.

Being content and focused on living in God’s grace and will brings spiritual refreshment to our souls. It allows us to be present and focused on others needs. Helps us appreciate all things. This is because our self-centeredness had us focused on how we are entitled to ways others are to bring peace into our hearts and minds. Being self-centered caused great anxiety and disappointment. Through Christ, we receive true peace of mind.
