Genuine Christian Peace

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
~ Psalm 29:11, KJV ~
Through Christ – We have a Spirit of Peace
~ January 8, 2020 Devotional ~

There is a shallow and empty sense of contentment and peace in the world today. The happiness that the world promises is incomplete. It is fleeting and requires some sacrifice of our genuine self.

God offers us a sense of peace and contentment that is all encompassing and everlasting.

Happiness, according to the world, is only contingent upon circumstances and what we think may bring us this noble experience of contentment. However, it is when we turn our thoughts toward God, toward His gifts, and toward understanding our divine heritage; we experience Godly joy. Chasing happiness based on the worlds offerings and we end up suffering. Chasing hard after God’s wisdom and counsel, we shall find peace of mind and spiritual contentment within our souls.

Do you find yourself at peace? Do you sincerely desire peace of mind and a contented soul? Then set your mind and your heart upon God and His love and His grace. Let him take care of the rest.

~Today’s Prayer and Meditation ~

Heavenly Father, help me root myself in your grace and love. I turn my thoughts over to you and my surrender all of myself over to your care. Let my heart reflect your love, grace, and peace. Let not my mind rest upon finding happiness according to the world. Let my mind rest upon finding that genuine peace through your word.
