When we seek God - we seek to live a life that is spiritually abundant and full of grace and truth.
Through personal prayer, study, and meditation on God's word do we find His wisdom and insights. Cultivating relationship with men of integrity, valor, and living a disciplined spiritual life is another means whereby we grow in Godly Wisdom.
This is a lasting and eternal peace that gives us confidence, wisdom, and empowerment to endure. It is different than the false sense of security and peace that the world may offer us. Instead of chasing after our illusion of happiness - let us chase after the reality and truth that is found in Jesus Christ.
Authentic recovery separates those who are being in recovery and those who are doing recovery. Much like the Christian faith - this means an individual cannot escape their Garden of Gethsemane. We are tasked to experience the painful awareness of our behaviors that were the results of our dependence on substances, sex, food, gambling, et al. It is the painful process of moving toward the new life. Putting to death the old man in order to rise up with a newness of life.
